I’ve gotten three Memeboxes in two days and since the Christmas Collection #1 Stress Free Holiday (and #2) are the newest releases from Memebox - I thought I’d post the Christmas Collection #1 first. For those who are unfamiliar with Memebox they are this awesome company that throws Korean beauty stuff into a box and you buy it (trying to change my descriptions around). Unlike other subscription boxes you pick the Memebox you want. Each Memebox has a theme – for example this one is Christmas Collection #1 Stress Free Holiday. The price of the boxes averages from $20.00 to $50.00. These boxes are shipped from Korean so you will also have to pay shipping costs. The shipping costs range from $6.99 - $17.00 depending on how fast you would like your box. Now, let’s get to it!
I know some people were not happy with this box but I like it. Christmas Collection #1 contains a variety of products; some are functional, some are cute, and some are luxurious.
The first product is this Dd’ell Moisture Facial Mask in 04 Gold Kiwi. The mask contains mineral-rich deep ocean water, vitamin-rich gold kiwi extracts, and delivers instant moisture relief while soothing, detoxifying, and treating skin pigmentation problems. I’ve had this fear of masks, which is silly, but now that I have a few of them I’m going to bite the bullet and try one. Wish me luck!
I was so happy to see this little snail on the packaging. The Shara Shara Gold Label Repescargo Cream 50ml is said to replenish, brighten, and repair, dry, aging skin. It is 70% pure snail secretion filtrate (so excited) with a blend of gold, pearl, hyaluronic acid, and glucosamine to deliver intensive moisture relief. I love products with snail or bee venom in them. This is because of my Benton Snail Bee experience and how it’s cleared up my face. I will add this moisturizer to my routine as soon as I patch test it to see if I’m going to have a reaction.
Angel’s Black Head Eraser Coconut 97% 100g is a natural soap made from coconut extracts and carbonated hot spring water. It claims to be effective in treating acne, blemishes, blackheads, and wrinkles. I’m not sure if I’m going to try this. It has a slight perfume smell and I don’t have many blemishes so the chance that this will just irritate my skin, and not help, might be too high of a risk.
Next is this Dipodeur Dress Perfume 150ml, my scent is Figuier& Glass Leaf. Now, I have no idea what either of those two ingredients are. I haven’t sprayed it yet on me but I took a quick sniff and it smells a lot like rubbing alcohol. I’m going to take a guess that this is going to be a pretty skin drying experience. I’ll have to look up more of the ingredients but I do like the scent (after you go past the rubbing alcohol.
Now…this product is random and I won’t use it. This is the NEOGEN Neoday Don’t Cry, Armpits Deodorant Perfumed stick 15g. We all know what deodorant is right? Ok, the scent to me is just like any other deodorant. Why won’t I use it you ask? I use baking soda for deodorant and I don’t see a reason to start using a Korean brand now.
One of the cutest products I’ve ever seen the Recipe By Nature Ice Cream Swing Gloss 01 Very lovely made me so happy. Everything from the cut ice cream shape to the smell makes me happy. This is a gloss which is infused with jojoba seed oil, argan oil, and grape seed oil that gives your lips a gloss look. I’ve already put this on my key chain I’m that excited about it.
Overall I love this box. I’ve really had no misses with Memebox so far. I haven’t loved all of the products in them but the value is there for the products I do like! Also, you can use the others for gifts. Everyone knows someone who wants some awesome Korean stuff – smile.
