I had these lovely pictures from using TRESemme for weeks. My hair before and after, what it looked like after I blow dried it etc. Then, a demon possessed my computer and half of my blog photos disappeared. Unfortunately, this means no photos. I also have no photos of the products because now they’re all nasty looking.
I’ll try my best to keep this short as to not bore you with no photos (I mean who wants to read blogs with no photos?). I have added this lovely stock photo of the products from the internet - smile.
I’m received the TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo, Conditioner, and Treatment free for review purposes through Influenster. Influenster is a website that anyone can go on and start posting reviews on everything from beauty to food. The cool thing is from time to time they will choose people to send voxbox’s to (this is usually done by an emailed survey). I’m not affiliated with Influenster, I don’t get anything if you sign up, I just happened to be chosen to get this box – smile.
Just for reference I have thin hair that’s wavy/curly. I also have some damage and varying hair lengths from chemotherapy (yeah it’s a hot mess – laugh). I used the TRESemme line for a total of 21 days. I used a blow dryer on my hair for all 21 days but only straightened it on 12 occasions. I also used no other products while using the TRESemme.
I don’t like the TRESemme line at all.
My hair turned into a puff ball of frizz after I used it. I was shocked because the goal of this TRESemme line is to specifically make your hair smooth. The reason I used this product for 21 days is to give it a fair shot. Like I said I have pretty jacked up hair at the moment and I wanted to make sure I gave the product a fair shake.
Not only was my hair frizzy but the top/crow went flat. So think of a flat topped triangle but it’s my head. When I did straighten my hair it did lay smooth but it took longer for me to straighten it than usual and it started to frizz up again slightly during the day. First and foremost - I don’t want to add more time to my beauty routine. My energy is a precious commodity because I have MS and my deconditioning from Cancer treatment has made it an even a bigger commodity (getting better but I’ll blog about that later). So, I don’t want to make my life more difficult. So, a product that makes me work harder for results I can get from another shampoo and conditioner is not for me.
I’m also not a shampoo snob. Before I started using the TRESemme I was using the L'Oreal Paris Volume Filler Thickening line and I have since gone back to that. So, I’m not comparing some high end magic unicorn tears shampoo to the TRESemme. It just didn’t work for me.
Is my experience because of my jacked up hair? Has anyone else tried this product? Let me know!
